is a lot of talk about this at the moment and hopefully in the not too distant
future we will see our food labelled accurately with origin and percentage of
what is Australian. At the moment things
are too vague and confusing and with recent problems with illness from
Hepatitis A due to overseas foods coming into the country from places that do
not have strict laws like us, it is no wonder that people want to see
change. We do not want vegetables coming
in through the back door of another country, sold to the consumer with
inaccurate labelling. We want to see
greater transparency as far as where food is made, as well as origin of that
food. A farmgate tour with Australian Wild Harvest certainly shows where the
food comes – no mistaking origin here.
