We have experienced another really dry summer here on the North West coast and it creates a huge financial burden to our farmers, especially those who rely on grass to feed their animals. Local dairy farmers like Ashgrove, Red Cow and Elgaar will all be pleased to see the recent rains bring relief. I also favour this time when showing off the farms in North West Tasmania on our food and wine tours – fields of green are much nicer than dry parched land.
