I had a full load of passengers who came off the cruise ship at Burnie – our first
one in for the season. 10 of these
lovely people from Singapore were delighted to see our lush green countryside
and by pure luck we even managed to see a fat healthy wombat as he was grazing
by the roadside just on the edge of Cradle Mountain National Park. A stop had to be made just out of Wilmot to
let a herd of cattle cross the road which had the cameras clicking madly
again. The last stop and a huge highlight
was a stop at The Berry Patch in Turners Beach.
No berries to pick yet, but I had 12 very happy people enjoy one of
their combo berry ice creams. This is one
of the stops we make on North West Food and Wine Tour, but I never miss the
opportunity to take other guests here for the best berry ice cream experience
ever!
